About Durland Solutions

I am a seasoned entrepreneur with over three decades of experience building and managing businesses across hospitality, construction, transportation, tourism, and technology.

Early in my career, I founded and operated five successful restaurants in Vancouver, handling everything from concept development and staff training to financial planning and marketing campaigns. This foundation in high-pressure, customer-focused environments sharpened my organizational skills, resilience, and ability to turn vision into reality. Beyond hospitality, I have applied a diverse construction skillset—designing and building a full residential home, overseeing RV park infrastructure, and tackling hands-on projects from carpentry and drywalling to electrical, tiling, and landscaping. My ventures have ranged from launching Malaspina Water Taxi to creating Mark’s Golf Cart Rentals in Mexico, and most recently establishing Durland Solutions, an AI-driven consulting firm that empowers businesses with automation, chatbots, and digital marketing strategies.



Outside of work, I’m a devoted dog lover with two loyal companions, and I stay active at the Sechelt gym and pool. A lifelong musician, I find creativity and rhythm through drums, guitar, and vocals—bringing the same energy and passion I apply to my businesses. My journey reflects both entrepreneurial grit and versatility: the ability to build, adapt, and thrive across industries while staying true to creativity, problem-solving, and a love for community.
